The Advisory Committee is comprised of local health experts and stakeholders that reflect the diversity of the local health workforce across the state. Members of the Advisory Committee will:
- Provide expertise and advice on workforce development issues and relevant local health policy matters.
- Identify and prioritize training needs
- Review and comment on plans (such as communication, marketing, evaluation)
- Help craft a long-term vision
- Identify other potential funding sources and partners
- Provide insight on state and national issues such as regionalization and agency accreditation
- Represent and promote the Institute's programs to the local health community
- Assist the institute in establishing appropriate partnerships and collaborations with other public health organizations, including the regional Emergency Preparedness Coalition network.
